The influence of the social network TikTok on the body image of adolescents in the Czech Republic

In today's digital era, social media is becoming increasingly influential. The popularity of the social network TikTok is increasing, especially among adolescents, and is thus affecting various areas of their lives. One of these areas is body image, the perception of one's own body. Adolescents in particular attach great importance to appearance. The topic of this bachelor thesis is the influence of the social network TikTok on the body image of adolescents in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the social network TikTok, provides insight into the issue of body image and the ideal of beauty, and also presents existing research on the influence of media on body image. The practical part of the thesis is carried out in the form of qualitative research, specifically through semi-structured interviews. The respondents are both male and female, aged 17-22, who are TikTok users. The aim of the research is to find out how adolescents in the Czech Republic perceive the influence of TikTok on body image. The research seeks to capture their personal experiences, perspectives, and attitudes to better understand this issue. Future Through the Eyes of High School Students

This diploma thesis with the future through the eyes of senior high school students, especially with its contents and time location of these contents. The theoretical part presents the most famous time perspective theories and the relationship between adolescents and their future. The emhasis is on introducing czech and also foreign research on a similar topic. The empirical part has four goals: find out which future contents senior high school students are dealing with, 2. where these contents are located in time, 3. how important are the contents and 4. what is the relationship between the future contents and student's past and present. They were done semi-structured interviews within the first and the second goal, then these interviews were coded and interpreted by using elements of grounded theory. To answer the other two goals students filled out questionnaire Ten most important life events by Cottle. The discussion part presents results of the research and comparison with the results of other research. The most senior high school students deal (in the context of the future) with university study, profession, travelling, independence and making their own family. Perception of Parents by Adolescent Children: Selected Specific Characteristics

This diploma thesis focuses on the perception of parents by their adolescent children. Since the topic is very wide the thesis considers only selected specifics. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. First part describes parenthood especially in the time with adolescent child and the next topic is adolescence, its history and main characteristics and the change of personality of adolescent. The next part is devoted to describing the social context which influences the adolescent child and forms their perception of parent. The examples of variability of this relationship are presented in the last part. The research target was to find how Czech adolescents perceive their parents. A questionnaire was used as a means to reach this aim. Gained data were sorted and the outcome is presented in the thesis.
Perception of transition from adolescence to adulthood by university students

This undergraduate thesis concerns the problems of transitation from adolescence to adulthood in university students. Theoretic part specifies period of adolescence, particular changes and tasks which are present in this period of life. Than there are described problems about transitation to adulthood, challenges in this period of life, concept of emerging adulthood and definition of young adulthood. Qualitative research is based on semi-structured interviews. They have shown, that problems with transition to adulthood in university students is based on freedom during the university studies and commitments related to end of studies and dependence on parents. It is difficult to be absolutely independent during the studies and create one´s own background even though, this is one of criterions of adulthood. Results show that to feel to be adult it is necessary to accept certain commitments for the future together with being autonomous.
